Funeral Song

"What song would you want played at your funeral?" was perhaps the first conversational 'starter for ten' question I learnt. I've genuinely lost count of the number times I've discussed it with different friends and acquaintances over the course of my life. This says a lot about my inability to maintain sensible conversation for long periods of time, but I'm not posting this to beat myself up about how bad I am at talking to people. No, I'm posting this here because I quite genuinely want this monstrosity/beauty from William Shatner to be playing when my corpse one day gets lowered into the furnace.

Google Maps Street View

It's a long way from being comprehensive, but what's there so far is pretty impressive. You can walk up and down the Strand with a 360 degree field of vision (as well as being able to look up and down), take a look at the Wheel and the Hayward Gallery before walking over Waterloo Bridge, or find a Curry House you like the look of down Brick Lane.

I love technology's capacity to amaze. If we're lucky, Google will soon take over the world and appoint Barack Obama as our Supreme Leader. After all, they began talks long before he'd finishing winning the small-fry American election...
